Day 1
Arrival in Kigali
Arrival at the Airport, meet and greet by our representative right after you exit the plane. After migration check ins you will head to the arrivals point where you will meet our driver guide with office representative then be transferred to the hotel where you will spend an overnight.
Check in at the hotel, refresh and get ready for dinner.

Day 2
Kigali to Goma - Congo Border
After breakfast you will drive toward the north and you will drive some 4 hours to Congo border an arrive at La cornice border (Grande Barriere).
After checking in and registering in Virunga Office, you will stop in Goma town for lunch before driving to Virunga National Park. Around 3 pm you will check in the luxurious Kibumba Tented Camp at the Mikeno Volcano feet.
Go for an evening nature walk, guided bird watching evening inside the King Kong jungle.
Over evening retire around the campfire.

Day 3
Mountain Gorillas Trekking in Virunga
After an early breakfast at Kibumba Tented Camp, you will head in the jungle to be guided and have a briefing before the gorilla trek. It usually requires up to 2.5 hours of hiking one way, depending on location of the gorilla group and depending of the difficulty of the path. After spending the one hour with the gorilla family group, you will make your way back to camp, enjoy a late lunch and have the rest of the day at leisure at Kibumba tented camp.

Day 4
Tchukudu Tour – Boat Ride to Tchegera Island
After breakfast, transfer back to Goma, stopover in Kibati village get out and try to ride the made-in-Goma wooden bike famously known as “TCHUKUDU”. After that experience in the village, go and Visit the local market, the traditional whisky factory, the green lake before a boat to Tchegera Island.
Arriving at lunch time and after lunch, enjoy an afternoon Kayaking while contemplating Nyiragingoo volcano in front of you.

Day 5
Goma to Bukavu - Congo
After breakfast, drive to DR Congo with stops enroute at Lake Kivu for lunch and beautiful views. Cross to Congo via Bukavu border in the evening.

Day 6
Kahuzi Biega National Park - Eastern Low Land Gorillas trekking – Lwiro
After a very early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch, drive to Kahuzi Biega National Park precisely in the southern sector and experience Eastern Low Land Gorillas trek, after the trek, write comments t, if there is enough time, drive to Lwiro and visit the Scientific Research Center built by Belgians long time ago.
Optional activities to be done at Lwiro are:
- The Museum
- One of biggest libraries in Central Africa.
- The biodiversity room.
After the visit to the Scientific Research Center,drive back to Bukavu.

Day 7
Idjwi Island Visit & Goma City Tour
After early morning breakfast, drive to the harbor and take the afternoon fast shared boat to Goma navigating on Lake Kivu, along the navigation, see Idjwi island which is the biggest one in DRCongo and the second in Africa after Madagascar.
Afternoon transfer to Goma, on arrival you will an afternoon excursion of Goma city including the visit to 2002 lava rock and various buildings half-buried by lava time allowing you will have a ride on the ubiquitous chukudu, a local kickscooter used for transporting goods unique to this part of the world.

Day 8
Fly Rwandair to Kigali - Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the border, check out and head to Kamembe where you will fly to Kigali with Rwandair. END OF SERVICE!
